Bronze is one of the most timeless and beautiful of mediums; from the very beginnings of sculpting a piece and the labor intensive process of casting it. It is impossible to replicate an identical version of the subject; consequently we understand the elements that we are drawn to, and consider to be of importance when defining character after building up the structure and anatomy of each subject. Seeing those tiny details and impressions such as a thumb print in clay, immortalised in bronze is priceless.
I find anatomy, structure and movement captivating, and have spent many years putting time to understanding that of both canine and equine - combining this with capturing individual idiosyncrasies and a moment in time to makes it possible to create a true to life interpretation of my subjects.
